JD.com targets doubling high-performing merchants for 618 Grand Promotion

JD.com has set ambitious targets for its upcoming 618 Grand Promotion, aiming to double the number of merchants achieving over one million yuan in sales.
JD.com CEO Sandy Xu said that the company will invest significantly in enhancing traffic support, integrating advanced AI technology, and improving service capabilities. These efforts are targeted at empowering third-party merchants, including small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) operating on its platform.
The plan includes optimizing traffic by prioritising top-rated stores and competitive products in search and recommendations.
JD.com will also continue offering merchants free access to high-traffic channels such as the 10-billion-yuan discounts and free shipping programs.

Additionally, the company plans to invest over one billion yuan in cash incentives and traffic resources to engage more content creators.
The company will also deploy AI-driven solutions like ChatRhino to streamline operations and reduce costs.
Moreover, they will enhance services with improved support and training programs tailored for SMEs.
As of March, JD.com boasts over one million active third-party merchants.
