Shakey’s Pizza plans to open 430 new stores in 2025

130 new international stores added since Q1 2024.

Shakey’s Pizza Asia Ventures Inc. (SPAVI) is planning to open 430 new stores this year.

The company ended the first quarter with 2,671 stores globally, after adding 52 net new outlets, mostly under the Potato Corner brand.

Since Q1 2024, SPAVI has added 439 stores, including 130 international locations. Overseas branches now make up nearly 20% of the total network.

SPAVI reported PHP182m in net income after tax for the quarter, up 6% year-on-year.

Same-store sales grew 2%, or 4% when adjusted for the leap year and early Easter in 2024.

The company also launched Shakey’s 50th anniversary campaign, which it expects to drive traffic through the rest of the year.

SPAVI said it remains on track to meet its targets for both double-digit revenue and profit growth in 2025.
