Shakey’s opens first Peri-Peri ‘fly-thru’ store in the Philippines

The new store is also the 54th outlet of Peri-Peri.

Shakey’s Pizza Asia Ventures, Inc. (PIZZA) has opened a Peri-Peri Charcoal Chicken & Sauce Bar “Fly-Thru” store in Metro Manila, which is the first one in the Philippines.

The “Fly-Thru” store features a green and inclusive design with eco-friendly paint and sunblock technology that keeps the store cool. It also has solar-powered lights and a home-grown culinary garden.

“In a span of 2 years since our acquisition in 2019, we have more than doubled Peri’s network and successfully delighted many guests,” PIZZA President and CEO Vicente Gregorio said.

“As we move forward in pursuit of sustainable growth, we will continue to leverage our strength in building innovative store formats and wow our guests with great experiences.”

The new store brings Peri-Peri’s outlets to 54. At present, Peri-Peri is PIZZA’s second largest chain of restaurants.

“We are aggressively expanding our store footprint in anticipation of the Philippine reopening. We are already seeing a resurgence in dine in but also believe that certain guest preferences will remain,” Gregorio said.

“Prioritizing convenience and safety is one of them. Thus, we are building stores that are flexible and can cater to both on- and off-premise dining.”
