Reliance Consumer Products to sell Sri Lanka’s Elephant House brand in India

It will distribute Elephant House’s beverage products.

Reliance Consumer Products Limited (RCPL) and Sri Lanka’s Elephant House partnered to manufacture and distribute Elephant House’s beverage products across India.

Elephant House, which produces and sells various beverages such as Necto, Cream Soda, EGB (Ginger Beer), Orange Barly, and Lemonade, amongst others, is owned by Ceylon Cold Stores PLC which is a subsidiary of Sri Lanka’s largest listed conglomerate, John Kells Holdings PLC.

“Elephant House, which enjoys strong market credibility, is an iconic brand with a deep-rooted heritage. This partnership will not only add its much-loved beverages to our growing FMCG portfolio but will also offer our Indian consumers great choice and value proposition through quality products,” SAID RCPL COO Ketan Mody.

“Being the custodian of several renowned global brands in India, Reliance is well-equipped to further expand Elephant House’s established consumer brand, which has been built over 150 years,” he added.

Reliance said the partnership will boost its beverage portfolio which includes brands such as Campa, Sosyo, and Raskik and will offer new products and value propositions to Indian consumers.
