The group said it aims to reach 160 stores by 2027.

Philippines' Metro Retail Stores Group, Inc. (MRSGI) has opened its first Metro Home Improvement store at Marquee Mall in Angeles, Pampanga.

The 1,000-square-meter store offers a range of home improvement products, including hardware, lawn and garden items, car and pet care supplies, appliances, electronics, housewares, and storage solutions.

"This marks a monumental step as we introduce our first Metro Home Improvement store format, a key part of our aggressive expansion strategy,” said Manuel Alberto, chief operating officer of MRSGI. “This store represents our commitment to being a dependable partner for the hardworking moms and dads who strive to create the best lifestyle for their families.”

The store features exclusive brands, interactive displays, and appliance demonstrations.

MRSGI said it plans to continue expanding, with a goal of reaching 160 stores by 2027.

Currently, the company operates 64 branches across Luzon and the Visayas under various formats.
