Foot Locker to enter the Indian market in 2024

Metro Brands and Nykaa Fashion will license the brand for their respective platforms.

New York-based retailer Foot Locker has set its expansion into the Indian market by 2024.

The India-based footwear retailer Metro Brands Limited (MBL) and e-commerce platform Nykaa Fashion will license the brand to India through long-term agreements.

MBL has set plans to open Foot Locker stores within the country, whilst Nykaa Fashion has planned to include Foot Locker products in their online channels, as well as a Foot Locker-branded shop.

Foot Locker’s entry into the Indian market is one of its ongoing efforts for growth through licensing partners in fresher markets and focusing on core banners. In India, it will add to the growth of the sneaker market and offer Foot Locker’s multi-brand offerings to enthusiasts around the world.
