Father’s Day weekend spending in Australia is expected to hit $611m, reflecting a 3.45% increase year on year, according to an ANZ report.
The report shows anticipated growth across categories, including dining out, wineries, clothing and accessories.
In 2024, other areas that saw notable uplift include motor vehicles and accessories, health-related services, welfare and charitable donations, and memberships.
During the same period, Gen X led overall spending, followed by millennials, whilst Gen Z recorded the highest YoY growth at 22%.
Victoria led as the highest spender, with an additional $9.1m, whilst South Australia saw the greatest uplift at 6.3%.
