Foot Locker enters Indonesia via MAPA tie-up
It will launch two new stores and a local website during the Q4 holidays.
New York-based specialty athletic retailer, Foot Locker, will make its foray in the Indonesian market starting the fourth quarter, following a partnership with local retailer Map Aktif Adiperkasa (MAPA), an announcement revealed.
Two new Foot Locker stores and a local website will start engaging customers in the quarter in time for the year’s holiday season. The company is looking to grow its footprint with more store openings in 2022 across Indonesia.
Holding a portfolio of brands including Foot Locker, Kids Foot Locker, Champs Sports, Eastbay, Footaction, and Sidestep, Foot Locker has about 2,900 retail stores in 27 countries across North America, Europe, Asia, Australia, and New Zealand.
Meanwhile, MAPA operates more than 1,300 retail locations in Indonesia, the Philippines, Vietnam, and Thailand across sports, leisure, and kids segments. It manages more than 40 exclusive brands across the territories.
