Starbucks launches ChatGPT integration to personalise drink discovery
Photos can be used to help personalise drink choices.
Starbucks has launched a beta integration inside ChatGPT that recommends drinks based on user mood or “vibe.”
The new feature allows users to explore a Starbucks menu in a more interactive way.
Instead of browsing traditional options, customers can describe how they feel, such as wanting something “warm and cozy” or “refreshing on a sunny day”, and receive tailored drink suggestions.
Users can also upload photos to convey their mood, further refining recommendations.
“Over the past year, one thing has become clear: customers aren’t always starting with a menu. They’re starting with a feeling,” the company said.
The feature is currently in beta, with Starbucks collecting feedback to refine how the system works and expand future capabilities.
