Toys “R” Us Asia opens IP flagship store in Malaysia
It will retail products from TOMICA, Pokémon, and Gundam from Japan.
Toys"R"Us Asia opened its new IP Collection Flagship Store at Level 2, Suria KLCC, Malaysia, that will retail products from TOMICA, Pokémon, and Gundam from Japan.
The toy retailer’s Suria KLCC outlet will feature the first TOMICA BRAND STORE in Southeast Asia, opening on 18 December.
Fans can purchase original TOMICA Shop products and monthly releases from the Japanese miniature car manufacturer.
The store will also feature the TOMICA WALL, the largest die-cast wall in the region featuring over 2,000 miniature cars.
Every weekend, a colouring activity invites collectors to personalise their own toy car made by TOMY, Toys”R”Us said.
This launch followed the partnership between Toys"R"Us Asia and TOMY Company to South East Asia, and the opening of the brand stores in Shanghai and Beijing.
The store’s Suria outlet will have a Gundam zone headlined by a life-size GQuuuuuuX statue from the latest series, said to be the only one in Malaysia. The zone also features exclusive merchandise, new model kits, and collector favourites.
A three-metre Hot Wheels playset pays tribute to the Suria KLCC skyline and depicts the local landmark into a miniature world.
Visitors can explore a Pokémon Trading Card Game selection, a Blokees figurine wall, get the newly launched Blokees Wheels, available exclusively at Toys"R"Us, and see the Barbie selection.
