Hermès opens expanded flagship in Seoul
It now showcases all sixteen of the house’s métiers in a bright, modern space.
Hermès has opened its relocated and expanded store in the Galleria department store, Apgujeong Rodeo, Gangnam.
The West Hall location now showcases all sixteen of the house’s métiers in a bright, modern space.
The store’s façade features anodised metal stripes inspired by South Korea’s Dancheong decorative tradition, blending traditional motifs with contemporary design.
Inside, visitors find a central silk section, men’s and women’s fashion, leather goods, jewellery, watches, and home and equestrian collections arranged in vibrant, pastel-filled spaces.
Designed by Parisian agency RDAI, the store combines heritage and modernity, enhanced with locally crafted elements such as silk walls and pleated paper lighting by Jungmo Kwon.
Artworks from Hermès collections and contemporary artists, including Mamadou Cissé and Jan Bajtlik, punctuate the space.
The 2025 theme, “Drawn to Craft,” is highlighted in window displays by Korean artist Miju Lee, exploring creation and memory through everyday moments.
