Marithé + François Girbaud opens first store in Greater China

Three more stores planned in 2025.

French casual brand Marithé + François Girbaud has officially entered the Chinese market, opening its first store in Shanghai’s Xintiandi on July 3.

Operated by Misto Holdings, the launch marks the brand’s debut in Greater China and the start of a broader expansion across the region.

The store’s launch event featured interactive activities like a DIY eco-bag station and a lucky draw, drawing long lines of customers. Photo booths and branded installations were set up throughout the store, encouraging social media sharing.

Following the Shanghai launch, Misto Holdings plans to open three more Marithé + François Girbaud stores this year in Hangzhou (IN77 Mall), Beijing (Taikoo Li), and a second Shanghai location (iapm Mall).

The company is also expanding its portfolio of Korean fashion brands—Matin Kim, Raive, and Rest & Recreation—to tap into the growing demand among younger Chinese consumers.
