LUXASIA advances a people-centred vision and ambitious growth plans
The company focusses on long-term partnerships, regional expansion, and immersive retail experiences.
In the luxury beauty market, LUXASIA continues to distinguish itself as a leading omnichannel platform in Asia Pacific. As the region’s leading beauty omnichannel player, it demonstrates its ability to combine innovation with operational excellence, all whilst staying true to its distinctive culture and long-term strategic vision.
Demonstrating the strength of its regional presence and consumer-centric approach, LUXASIA was honoured with three major wins at the Retail Asia Awards 2025: Brand Store of the Year - Malaysia, Luxury Beauty Retailer of the Year - Singapore, and Luxury Beauty Retailer of the Year - Indonesia.
These accolades come at a pivotal moment for the company, as it enters a new chapter under the leadership of Satyaki Banerjee. In an interview with Retail Asia, the incoming CEO articulates a clear and confident vision rooted in the company’s distinctive strengths: a ‘best-of-both-world’ of professional management and private ownership, a people-first culture, and long-term partnerships.
Fueling growth, empowerment, and regional expansion
The company's success lies in its unique blend of professional management and private ownership built on trust, empowerment, and transformation. Banerjee highlighted their strong commitment “to building growing businesses with strong foundations, and real meaningful relationships with both brand and retail partners backed by performance.”

Central to LUXASIA’s next phase is the newly launched three-year programme LX27 aimed at scaling growth, building operational leverage, and strengthening the company’s core pillars. This is a 3-year programme built on the Flywheel of growth and reinvestment. “We have found these 3-year bursts to be the sweet spot in keeping a long-term view whilst being focused at the same time on a tangible plan to effectively galvanise the teams into action,” Banerjee said.
Over the mid-term, Banerjee firmly believes in the growth potential that all of South East Asia and India have to offer, with the more mature markets of Australia, Taiwan, and Hong Kong providing a ballast. India and Indonesia specifically are poised to be key engines of growth.
Additionally, LUXASIA sees artificial intelligence and automation as strong drivers of not just efficiency and productivity but also an opportunity area for the organisation to be distinctive in terms of agility. There is also the upcoming investment in an upgrade of its core ERP systems over the next 18 months. “Agility, entrepreneurship, and the willingness to embrace continuous change are at the heart of LUXASIA, and it’s a necessity to thrive in the space we’re in,” Banerjee said.
Whilst luxury beauty remains the company’s stronghold, LUXASIA is expanding its reach. “Luxury lifestyle is a business pillar with significant promise and potential – we will double down on opportunities here,” Banerjee said, reaffirming the company’s commitment to category diversification.
In addition, there will obviously be a continuous focus on the 2 fundamental drivers of core retail group-wide, and digital commerce led by LEAP Commerce. These pillars supplemented by a strong cohort of marketing and sales team members across the markets are at the heart of what has allowed LUXASIA to grow within the Luxury beauty space and also diversify into Luxury lifetstyle.
People-first leadership and purpose-driven growth
LUXASIA’s recent leadership transition holds both symbolic and strategic significance for the organisation. Banerjee, who steps into the CEO role after years within the company, reflects on the mentorship and trust extended by his predecessors.

His appointment exemplifies the group’s People First philosophy, reinforcing internal talent development and organisational continuity.
Even as the business grows and diversifies, Banerjee is resolute in preserving LUXASIA’s unique culture: one that places people, passion, and purpose at the core of every transformation. “Our unique corporate culture is something that I have held dear all these years. We will continue to foster a flat hierarchy when it comes to thoughts, ideas, and entrepreneurship. That is at the heart of what would allow us to stand out,” Banerjee said.
LUXASIA will continue to invest in its people, its pillars, and reinforce its drive on sustainability as it looks to write the next chapter of growth and transformation for the company.
