Estée Lauder, Startup India partner to boost beauty entrepreneurship
Estée Lauder will integrate Startup India’s platform and expertise into its BEAUTY&YOU India program.
The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. has announced a partnership with Startup India to support innovation and entrepreneurship in India’s beauty and personal care sector.
The agreement was formalised through a memorandum of understanding with the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, under India’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
This is the first partnership between a global beauty company and Startup India.
Estée Lauder will integrate Startup India’s platform and expertise into its BEAUTY&YOU India program, which identifies and supports emerging Indian beauty brands.
Following International Women’s Day, Estée Lauder also introduced a new initiative under BEAUTY&YOU India aimed at recognizing and supporting women entrepreneurs. Over the past three years, most applicants to the program have been women.
The partnership was launched in New Delhi in the presence of Stéphane de La Faverie, president and CEO of Estée Lauder Companies, and Shri Sanjiv, joint secretary, DPIIT. This visit marks de La Faverie’s first to India since becoming CEO in January 2025.
