CP AXTRA wins Retail Asia Awards 2024 for Makro PRO

Its Makro PRO app reflects the company’s commitment to innovation and customer-centric solutions.

Thai B2B and B2C retailer CP AXTRA received the Customer Service Initiative of the Year - Thailand at the coveted Retail Asia Awards 2024 for its online marketplace application Makro PRO that offers a seamless online-offline services and loyalty programme for its subsidiary Makro.

Makro PRO revolutionises wholesale procurement for small businesses across the country, aimed at providing solutions to serve the diverse needs of professional customers and prosumers across online and offline platforms.

It provides a one-stop service “Sell-Buy-Reward” that aims to facilitate business operators, especially restaurant owners, hotels, and independent retailers, by providing convenience for ordering business supplies. The app also enhances customer benefits through a loyalty programme that is offered for every THB1,000 spent at Makro stores or online platforms.

Recently, Makro PRO has further enhanced the customer experience by offering personalised screens with frequently purchased items and promotions tailored to different types of customers. The application captures customers' behaviour and interests, analyses them, and presents in the form of personalised item screens and customised promotion banners on the app.

Since the launch of Makro PRO, it has been recognised as a leading B2B – B2C grocery digital platform with over 2.5 million downloads and over 30,000 transactions per day, reflecting its success and contributing to the growth of Makro omnichannel sales by 38% from 2022 to 2023.

“The recent launch of Makro PRO stands as a testament to the company’s vision. In response to [the] dynamic business environment and evolving consumer behaviour, Makro is committed to staying ahead of the curve,” the company said.
