Gucci launches ‘Gaok’ flagship in Seoul

The space was designed to offer a comfortable place for visitors and passers-by.

Italian luxury fashion house Gucci has launched its so-called ‘Gaok’ flagship, its second store in Seoul, South Korea located in the neighborhood of Itaewon, the company announced through its social media channels.

Taking its name from the Korean word ‘Gaok’, meaning ‘traditional home’, the new flagship presents a bespoke façade designed by Korean artist Seungmo Park.

The space was designed as a comfortable place of respite and a warm environment to welcome visitors and passers-by. Once inside, customers can see an environment with mosaic walls and distinctive lighting, the company said.

To celebrate the inauguration, Gucci has created a short film, featuring elements from Korean heritage that characterize the House. KAI, the Brand ambassador of Gucci Korea, stars in the film alongside Seungwon Cha, Jimin Han, Jiah Lee, Jay Park, and Sunmi.
