Vietnam’s HSV Group clinches investment from Mekong Capital

The investment aims to speed up its store network growth.

Vietnam-focused Mekong Capital announced that the Mekong Enterprise Fund IV has completed an investment into HSV Group, the country’s largest cosmetics retailer, according to a press release.

The investment aims to speed up HSV Group’s store network growth and widen their brand assortments whilst elevating the customer experience. The company is also looking to strengthen their corporate culture and enhance the capabilities of its leadership team.

Started in 2005 as the exclusive distributor of LG Cosmetics’ The Face Shop, 12 years later, HSV Group expanded to become a distributor of sportswear brand Adidas and Reebok products. 

As of 30 June, HSV Group has self-operated 105 stores. In 2018, it opened its own multi-brand cosmetics chain under the brand name Beauty Box, which now has 11 stores nationwide. Beauty Box operates under Retail-tainment concept.
