Post-Tiktok Tokopedia appoints Vonny Ernita Susamto as CEO

The appointment comes after TikTok and GoTo's merger

PT Tokopedia has named Vonny Ernita Susamto as the new president director and CEO, replacing Melissa Siska Juminto.

The appointment was revealed through the Indonesian Stock Exchange after TikTok acquired Tokopedia in a major overhaul of the Indonesia-based e-commerce company.

Alongside Susamto, Juminto and Mengzhi Xu are appointed as directors for the company.

Susamoto has served under Category Management for ByteDance. Previously, she became Brand Manager at Shiseido Cosmetics Indonesia from 2018 to 2019, and Category Manager at Jet Commerce from 2019 to 2021. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Pelita Harapan.

After TikTok’s acquisition for over $1.5b, GoTo has embarked on its growth for Tokopedia. The company will also leverage its digital financial services via GoTo Financial and on-demand services via Gojek. GoTo has also ensured a seamless revenue stream with e-commerce service fees, ensuring the long-term profitability of the acquisition.
