LVMH partners with Fortnite creator for an immersive experience

It will allow LVMH and its Maisons to offer virtual fitting rooms and augmented reality.

Luxury firm LVMH entered a partnership with the creator of Fortnite and Unreal Engine, Epic Games, to enable the retailer to offer experiences such as virtual fitting rooms and fashion shows, offering customers an “immersive products discovery experience.”

In a statement, LVMH said the company along with its Maisons would tap Epic Games’ 3D creation tools such as Unreal Engine, Reality Capture, Twinmotion and MetaHuman technology to launch other experiences including product carousels, augmented reality, and digital twins creation.

The partnership with Epic Games will accelerate our expertise in 3D tools and ecosystems, from the creation of new collections to ad campaigns and to our Maisons’ websites. We will also engage more effectively with young generations who are very much at ease with these codes and uses” says Toni Belloni, LVMH Group Managing Director.

LVMH Maisons have previously adopted Epic Games technologies such as Bulgari’s metaverse experience inspired by ancient Rome, “Virtual Rome.”

Louis Vuitton, meanwhile, presented the Digital Show Experience, a six-minute interactive and immersive experience allowing visitors to watch the 2023 Fall-Winter Men’s show which was held at the Lovre Cour Carrée in January.
