Jollibee Foods probes data breach

Its e-commerce platforms and those of its subsidiary brands remain unaffected and fully operational.

Jollibee Foods Corporation (JFC) has reported a cybersecurity incident involving a personal data breach affecting the company and several of its subsidiaries. The incident has been reported to the National Privacy Commission.

JFC has activated response protocols and strengthened security measures to protect its data. An investigation is also underway with the help of authorities and cybersecurity experts.

The company has confirmed that its e-commerce platforms and those of its subsidiary brands remain unaffected and fully operational.

“JFC recognises the value and importance of the confidentiality of personal information of its stakeholders,” the group said in a statement. “The company assures the public of its commitment to prioritise the protection and confidentiality of such personal information, including customer data, by continuously fortifying its defenses against future threats.”

Moreover, the company urges the public to practice good information security, such as regularly updating passwords.
