JD.com launches three special delivery options for personalised gifting

Its “Gifting” feature lets users send gifts instantly via WeChat.

China’s JD.com has rolled out three special delivery options to ensure Valentine’s Day gifts arrive on time and with a personal touch.

JD.com’s new “Gifting” feature lets users send gifts instantly through WeChat. By searching “JD Gifting” in the JD app, shoppers can choose a gift, tap “Send to Her/Him”, and share it directly with the recipient. The recipient then enters their address and tracks the package in real time.

For last-minute shoppers, JD NOW offers on-demand delivery, meaning gifts like flowers, beauty products, and electronics can arrive in as little as nine minutes. Popular items include BVLGARI fragrance mist, SK-II beauty sets, and smartphones from Xiaomi, Huawei, OPPO, and Vivo.

Orders are fulfilled by brand-authorised stores near the recipient, ensuring authenticity. The service covers over 2,400 counties and districts across China, partnering with 600,000+ brick-and-mortar stores to get gifts where they need to go—fast.

Moreover, JD Luxury Express offers a premium delivery experience. A dedicated courier team, dressed in uniform, handles packages with extra care and provides scheduled delivery.

JD.com said orders for luxury goods, beauty products, and high-end tech have jumped 30% leading up to Valentine’s Day.
