JD Worldwide launches feature to support beauty, skincare retailers
The platform will feature incentives for sellers of beauty and skincare items.
JD Worldwide, JD.com’s signature shopping platform, rolled out a programme to support small and medium businesses, and individual online sellers in the beauty and skincare categories.
One of its features is the “Spring Dawn” initiative, one of JD Worldwide’s bespoke incentive programmes for merchants specialising in beauty and skincare products, allowing an integrated supply chain process and a variety of rebates for new sellers.
Sellers can also seize the opportunity with premiums valued up to 5% of annual sales. New merchants specialising in perfumes and cosmetics can claim incentives ranging from reduced quality assurance deposits to commission rebates. Sellers may also claim premiums that are equivalent to up to 5% of their annual sales.

All the incentives introduced serve as a response to emerging consumer trends and shifts in market leadership. Currently, China sees a 79% increase in users purchasing European products. There has been a 312% increase in users aged below 25 years and a 207% increase in county and rural transactions.
For its Singles’ Day Grand Promotion event alone, JD Worldwide sees a record-setting 100% year-on-year (yoy) increase in transaction volume on an estimated 350 of cross-border import categories, including more than 20 Korean procurement businesses under the beauty category.
