IKEA highlights free assembly parts campaign for Black Friday

It will offer 4,000 nuts, bolts, screws, dowels, and fittings.

The largest IKEA retailer, Ingka Group, will be offering 4,000 free assembly parts as part of its Black Friday sale campaign, available both in-store and online.

In a statement, Ingka Group said the campaign which is in line with its “Keep good things going” campaign launched in May 2023 aims to inspire customers to upgrade or repair their furniture instead of buying a new one to promote saving money and reducing waste.

“The assembly parts service is now available online and last year 1.8 million customers used this fully rolled out service with 21.9 million spare parts provided – but for most of IKEA's 900 million annual customers the service is a yet to be discovered benefit,” said Karen Pflug, CSO, Ingka Group.

The assembly parts online service is available in 28 markets.
