FairPrice Group (FPG) clinches Retail Asia Awards 2025 for flavoured nuts product launch

Its Housebrand Flavoured Nuts exceeded $1m in sales within three months of its launch. 

FairPrice Group (FPG) brought home the Retail Product of the Year - Singapore category win at the coveted Retail Asia Awards 2025 for its FairPrice HouseBrand, which has delivered quality, value, and excitement to customers through its range of flavoured nuts. 

FPG’s nut products go through rigorous taste profiling to ensure they deliver the best flavours to customers. Its flavoured cashews are the perfect example of this. Two of FPG’s cashew flavours - Fried Chicken Cashews, which look and taste like popcorn chicken; and the Roasted Corn Cashews, which deliver a sweet and smokey flavour - have quickly become crowd favourites. 

To maximise visibility and excitement, FairPrice Group has also executed a strong offline and online marketing strategy that ensures consumer engagement at every touchpoint. This presence is evident with its retail activation, online engagements, and viral social campaigns. The company also partnered with several consumer retail and promotion sites to amplify reviews, boost awareness, and secure extensive media coverage. 

FairPrice HouseBrand recorded a remarkable impact with this launch, exceeding $1m in sales within the first three months of launch. This success has also contributed to a 12.3% retail growth and 13% gross profit growth of its nut products, revitalising the category. The launch has also transformed consumer perception of nuts from a more traditional, one-dimensional snack to an exciting option for affordable indulgence. 

“FairPrice Housebrand Flavoured Nuts successfully disrupted the market by introducing never-before-seen flavours. This launch will serve as a jumping-off point for us to continue to scale and build a strong flavour portfolio through our Own Brands, ultimately making every day a little better for our customers with delightful offerings,” the company said. 

FPG's Own Brands business, a key component of the Group’s strategy to keep daily essentials within reach for customers, offers over 3,500 products that are typically priced 10% to 15% cheaper than branded alternatives.
