MADCash empowers women entrepreneurs with financial literacy
Financial inclusion for underrepresented female entrepreneurs targeted.
Nuraizah Shamsul Baharin, Managing Director of MADCash, is on a mission to bridge the financial literacy gap and empower women entrepreneurs, especially those overlooked by traditional banking systems due to poor credit history or lack of visibility.
In a focused effort to promote financial inclusion, MADCash provides more than just loans; it offers a comprehensive support system aimed at transforming women into bankable and investable entities within two years.
"What we're trying to address are the women who are not the mainstream," Baharin explained.
He said that the initiative is not solely about offering financial assistance but also about nurturing these entrepreneurs through education and mentorship, enabling them to thrive in competitive markets.
He added that MADCash vision includes offering a suite of services that contribute to the overall success and well-being of its clients. "So they need the most support. Having peer entrepreneurs, alongside having mentors or suits to come and look at your business ideas.”
Baharin said the challenges faced by women entrepreneurs are many, but MADCash seeks to address these through its platform, which includes an online academy where clients can learn to refine their business models and focus on growth-centric products.
Beyond financial and business support, MADCash places a strong emphasis on mental wellness and the power of community. "More than a FinTech company, you're also like a support system for discriminants," Baharin noted.
He said that by providing a platform for women to share their experiences, bounce ideas off one another, and receive guidance from mentors, MADCash fosters an environment where women can prosper both as entrepreneurs and individuals.
