Wendy's appoints new president, CEO

He will succeed Todd Penegor in the role.

The Wendy's Company named Kirk Tanner as the new President and CEO of Wendy’s, effective 5 February 2024.

Tanner will succeed Todd Penegor, who will leave the company and board in February after serving the company for more than a decade in senior leadership positions.

Tanner has over 30 years of experience in the food and beverages industry. Before joining Wendy’s, Tanner served under PepsiCo's Global Foodservice division, where he led the growth of the company’s presence in the food service sector with strategic partnerships, product launches, and major deals with sports leagues and restaurant chains.

He then became CEO of North American Beverages at PepsiCo, Inc., where he supervised the $26b business unit, which consisted of 30% of PepsiCo’s overall business, with efficient operational performance and revenue growth.
