Uniqlo to launch its first flagship in Beijing in November

The store will have China’s first “StyleHint” social retail experience.

Uniqlo will be opening its first flagship store in Beijing in November, in the Sanlitun shopping district, which will serve the company's third flagship in Mainland China, according to a press release.

The new Uniqlo Beijing Sanlitun Global Flagship Store has a sales area of about 2,200 square metres across three floors and offers a range of lines for men, women, kids, and babies.

The store will also have China's first in-store implementation of the company’s "StyleHint," a social retail experience that combines the real and virtual worlds.

Uniqlo also said that it designed the store to incorporate art, science, culture and sustainability.

Uniqlo opened its first store in China in September 2002, and currently, the company is operating over 820 retail locations throughout the mainland.

There are two global flagship stores in the market, both located in Shanghai. Uniqlo West Nanjing Road Global Flagship Store opened in 2010, followed by Uniqlo Shanghai Global Flagship Store, the largest Uniqlo store to date, in 2013.
