SM Markets to open 10 to 15 new stores in 2024
It aims to serve the essential needs of Filipino communities in underserved areas.
The SM Group, through its SM Markets division, is set to launch 10 to 15 new stores this year, aiming to provide provincial regions with enhanced access to modern grocery shopping.
With these additions, SM Markets will exceed 350 stores nationwide, with over 70% located outside the National Capital Region. This growth aligns with SM Markets’ mission to provide quality, affordable products and exceptional service to more Filipino homes.
The new stores will offer more options for local communities and support local MSMEs by featuring their products.
In the first half of 2024, SM Markets will open stores in Mati (Davao Oriental), Marilao (Bulacan), and Naujan (Mindoro). Earlier openings this year include Savemore Siniloan (Laguna), Savemore Pantukan (Davao de Oro), Savemore Hotel Supreme (Baguio), and SM Supermarket Caloocan.
