Pandamart opens 50th store in Pakistan
This was opened a little over a year after the launch of the first store.
Online groceries delivery platform marked a milestone with the opening of its store in Karachi on 31 December 2021, the 50th store opened in a little over a year since the opening of its first store in November 2020.
Pandamart stores were located in Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Islamabad, and Hyderabad, catering to around 58% to 90% of the population in the cities covered.
Present stores have over 350,000 square feet of floor space, and stock more than 10,000 of over 200 suppliers and vendors. They also employ more than 1,250 people directly.
“Q-commerce (quick commerce) is definitely the future and Pandamart is pioneering this sector boldly as is obvious from the growth we have achieved in such a short time period,” CEO Nauman Sikandar Mirza said.
“Our mission is to vigorously support the government’s goal of realising a digital Pakistan and documenting the economy, while offering unprecedented convenience and benefits to the public through online groceries shopping that is available 20 hours out of 24 every single day,” he added.
Pandamart said there are plans to increase the number of stores and expand to other cities.
Online grocery shopping through the stores can be accessed via Foodpanda application.
