NIKE names Cathy Sparks VP and GM for Greater China
She succeeds Angela Dong, who is exiting the company on 31 March.
NIKE has appointed Cathy Sparks as vice president (VP) and general manager (GM) for Greater China.
She will replace Angela Dong, who is leaving the company on 31 March.
Sparks, a 25-year Nike veteran, began her career as a store athlete at Niketown Portland and has held leadership roles across multiple regions.
Most recently, she was VP and GM of Nike’s APLA region, where she oversaw market changes and growth initiatives.
With Sparks moving to Greater China, Cristin “Crissy” Campbell, currently VP of Nike Brand for APLA, will serve as interim VP/GM for the region and join Nike’s Senior Leadership Team.
Separately, César Garcia will take over as VP/GM of EMEA on 2 February, succeeding Carl Grebert, who is retiring after nearly 30 years in various leadership roles within the company.
