Jollibee to open up to 800 new stores globally in 2025
It expects system-wide sales to grow by 8% to 12% this year.
Jollibee Group has announced plans to open between 700 and 800 new stores globally in 2025.
The company has allocated $314m (PHP18b) to $367m (PHP21b) in capital expenditures to support this growth.
Chief Financial and Risk Officer Richard Shin said the company expects system-wide sales to grow by 8% to 12% this year, driven by a 4% to 6% increase in same-store sales and a 4% to 8% expansion in its store network. Operating profit is projected to rise by 10% to 15%.
"We remain focused on executing our long-term growth strategy and will continue to put emphasis on shareholder value creation," the group said in a statement. "We are committed to further improving our operational and financial capabilities, pursuing sustainable growth initiatives and expanding our market presence."
In 2024, Jollibee reported double-digit growth in revenue, operating income, and net income, with strong performances from its Philippine business, Jollibee International, Compose Coffee, and its Coffee and Tea segment (excluding Compose Coffee). However, its China operations faced significant challenges, whilst its better burger category underperformed despite a positive same-store sales turnaround in the fourth quarter.
As of December 2024, Jollibee’s global store network grew by 41.8% year-on-year to 9,766 locations, including 3,382 in the Philippines and 6,384 overseas. This includes 580 stores in China, 369 in North America, 388 in EMEA, 850 Highlands Coffee outlets in Vietnam, 1,232 The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf branches, 336 Milksha stores, and 2,629 Compose Coffee locations in South Korea.
