JD.com launches Green Impact Partners Alliance
Its inaugural partners include FMCG brands Breeze, OMO, and BABO.
China-based e-commerce company JD.com has introduced the Green Impact Partners Alliance as part of its sustainability initiatives.
In a statement, JD.com said the alliance aims to nurture collaboration and advocate for green products across supply chain management, consumer-to-manufacturer product design, and marketing cooperation.
Amongst the alliance’s inaugural members are several high-profile fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) brands including Breeze, OMO, and BABO.
JD Supre, the supermarket division of JD Retail has entered “transformative partnerships” under the alliance such as the JD Forest in Hainan in partnership with tissue paper manufacturer Breeze to support reforestation.

It will also support sustainable bamboo production by creating bamboo forests through JD Bamboo Forest in partnership with bamboo pulp tissue manufacturer BABO.
In partnership with detergent firm OMO, JD.com will launch the OMO Tree Planting Initiative.
Niu Yinghua, Vice President of JD.com and General Manager of the Cleaning, Personal Care, and Maternal and Baby Product Department at JD Retail, said almost 100 green products have been launched through the Green Impact Partners Alliance so far.
The Alliance also plans to include 20 reputable FMCG brands by 2024 which will triple its green-labled product offerings.
JD.com said this is a vital component of its ongoing Green Impact Initiative, the company’s commitment to offer environmentally friendly products.
