JD launches first overseas E-Space store in Indonesia

The store offers thousands of types of electronics products.

JD has inaugurated its first overseas E-Space store in Indonesia, expanding the reach of its mega retail “experience store” chain first launched in Chongqing in 2019, the company said in a press release.

Located in AEON Mall Sentul City in West Java province, the nearly 1,300-sqm JD.ID Electronic Store offers thousands of types of products from various brands of smartphones, gadgets, laptops, as well as brands of home appliances, home living and furniture.

Additionally, the store provides experiential areas such as a gaming area and smart home area for consumers to enjoy the various store and brand events.

The store adopts an omnichannel model to bring an online-to-offline shopping experience to customers, where they can place orders online and experience and pick up the products on-site, or have products delivered on the same day.

After opening its first omnichannel outlet in 2018, JD’s Indonesia operations has opened five physical stores offering omnichannel services.
