IKEA starts construction of first mall store in Indonesia

The company currently provides pick-up points at Mall Taman Anggrek.

Swedish furniture retailer IKEA is officially building a new store in Indonesia at Mall Taman Anggrek located in West Jakarta, the company’s first store in a shopping mall, the company said in a press release

The IKEA Mall Taman Anggrek store will be built in an area of more than 10,000 sq, in the North Wing area on the 3rd and 4th floors of Taman Anggrek Mall, aiming to bring IKEA closer to its customers who live in the center of Jakarta and its surroundings.

The store is expected to launch in 2022.

Currently, IKEA provides a pick-up point located at HERO Mall Taman Anggrek, which offers free shipping fees to customers when they pick up the products they purchase online.
