Fast Retailing warns on phishing scam targeting UNIQLO customers

It deceives individuals into disclosing personal information or making monetary transfers.

Fast Retailing, the parent company of UNIQLO, has warned the public against a fraudulent phishing scam circulating on social media platforms.

In a statement, the group clarified that fraudulent phishing content posing as news articles and videos about UNIQLO and Fast Retailing deceives individuals into disclosing personal information or making monetary transfers.

“Fast Retailing advises customers that this content has no connection whatsoever to Fast Retailing or its President Tadashi Yanai, and urges customers to exercise caution online,” the company stated.

Customers are urged to exercise caution online, particularly when encountering content soliciting investments via links.

It warned that opening links from these deceptive sources may result in falling victim to scams.

“Fast Retailing is pursuing all available measures to remove this content and to identify its origin,” the company said.

Victims who have disclosed personal information or transferred money are advised to contact their local police department, the National Police Agency, or the Consumer Affairs Agency immediately.
