Emperador net income rises 3% in H1 amidst supply chain woes
The company reported a net income of P5.3b.
Emperador Inc. reported its net income grew by 3% year-on-year to P5.3b in the first half of the year amidst continuing supply chain disruptions and increased cost.
Over the same period, the company’s consolidated revenues climbed by 11%YoY to P28b. Brandy sales particularly increased by 9.5%, whilst international sales, largely driven by Emperadpr’s whiskey segment, went up by 13%.
“After back-to-back banner performances in 2020 and 2021, our company continues to deliver growth despite supply chain challenges and increase in input costs,” Emperador Inc. President Winston Co said.
“Our international business continued to perform well led by the single malt whisky portfolio, which continues to be amongst the fastest growing single malts in the world.”

He said growth continued in Asia, Europe, and North America. In addition to this, the company is looking at exploring joint ventures in China.
In this light, the company also projected a stronger second half performance.
