Singapore's retailers launch Easter products and promotions

FairPrice has rolled out scratch cards, whilst Cold Storage displayed chocolate eggs.

In celebration of Easter, retailers in Singapore helped shoppers prepare to observe the holiday at home with new Easter-themed offerings and promotions, IGD reported.

In Cold Storage, Easter eggs were displayed in the prominent areas of the store, with all the shelf end displays filled with Easter chocolate eggs and bunnies. It was also a place for baskets, decorations and soft toys, and there was a wide range of products at different price points.

“Most are focused on small packs though, reflecting the small gatherings at home. Shoppers are also directed to its Facebook page via a QR code to play a simple game to win vouchers and exclusive masks,” IGD’s senior retail analyst Soo-Eng Tan said.

Likewise, FairPrice gave shoppers a sure-win scratch card for every $7.40 (S$10) spent on Easter Specials. It also partnered with suppliers in selected stores for exclusive promotions. For example, shoppers who spend $6 (S$8) worth of Cadbury chocolates had a chance to win a wide range of prizes.

Artisanal bakery Baker & Cook, which is available in most major supermarkets, have added a special feature for traditional hot cross buns. Each purchase contributed $0.74 (S$1) to support the Breast Cancer Foundation.
