Seven in 10 say beauty choices are shaped by health concerns, GlobalData says
This comes amidst a growing awareness of the link between diet, skin health, and overall appearance.
Seven in 10 (70%) of global consumers’ choice of beauty products is influenced by how a product impacts their health and well-being, according to a GlobalData report.
The report said it is being driven by growing awareness of the link between diet, skin health, and overall appearance.
“Social media platforms have accelerated this shift by amplifying 'glow-from-within' narratives and highlighting functional ingredients that support skin, hair, and nail health,” the report said.
GlobalData also noted that the growth of nutricosmetics is also broadening the market through accessible formats such as gummies, collagen bars, and vitamin-infused seltzers.
In its 2025 Q4 global consumer survey, 79% of consumers considered ‘natural’ claims either essential or nice to have, whilst 58% place similar importance on ‘plant-based’ attributes.
