Sephora to open Asia’s first ‘store of the future’ in Singapore
Customers can access the store starting on 23 September.
Omnichannel beauty retailer Sephora will be opening its first Asia Store of the Future in Singapore on 23 September in Raffles City Shopping Mall providing a “hyper-personalised” consumer experience.
In a statement, Sephora said it chose Singapore as the first location in the region because of its strategic location as a travel destination and its diverse and cosmopolitan population.
“Crucially, apart from being a key tourist destination in Southeast Asia, the diversity of Singapore’s consumer base serves as a fantastic hub for us to create, try, test, learn and introduce innovative beauty tech and retail concepts,” said Sephora Asia President Alia Gogi.
“Our 100-strong tech and digital teams work closely with our retail and marketing teams to ensure we stay at the forefront of a digitally enabled and mesmeric consumer experience in-store or online. This is just the beginning of our journey in redefining and reimagining the future of beauty retail,” Gogi added.

The 426-square-metre store will enable shoppers to scan and analyse skin conditions and get skincare recommendations using the Skincredible app. The new store will also be equipped with a fully mobile checkout process.
Amongst other services, the store will also launch new haircare services and a Skin Lounge which will provide customers with trending skincare products. Sephora Beauty Experts will also provide beauty tips and tricks in the Sephora Beauty School which can be conducted both online via live streaming and physically.
Sephora plans to open the same concept store in Shanghai in 2023.
