It saw a 30% increase in orders from the technology and telecommunications sectors.
Deliveroo for Work (DfW), the corporate ordering arm of Deliveroo, has highlighted key dining trends from 2024, offering valuable insights for office managers and decision-makers as they prepare for the upcoming year.
In Hong Kong, popular breakfast items include chicken wraps from Knead, corned beef and cheese toasts from Mrs Tang Cafe, and coffee to kickstart the workday.
During lunch, employees tend to opt for quick and flavorful meals like teriyaki chicken bento from Bliss Bento or sushi from Genki Sushi, with health-conscious options like chicken breast from Protein Matters also gaining popularity.
As the day winds down, DfW said orders shift toward indulgent choices such as spicy tuna and salmon rice bowls from Sen-ryo, providing a satisfying end to the workday.
DfW also saw a notable 30% growth in orders from the technology and telecommunications sectors in 2024. This surge reflects the expansion of these industries in Hong Kong, with companies using employee benefits like office lunches and events to attract and retain top talent.
Additionally, cultural celebrations, such as the Mid-Autumn Festival and Chinese New Year, spiked corporate orders of traditional Chinese dishes, highlighting the role of food in building team morale and celebrating cultural moments at work.
