TikTok reaches 460 million monthly users in Southeast Asia
Indonesia, Vietnam, and Thailand drive platform’s expansion
TikTok has reached 460 million monthly active users in Southeast Asia, making it one of the region’s largest digital platforms, the company said in a press release.
Indonesia leads with around 160 million users, followed by Vietnam with 70 million and Thailand with 50 million. The company attributed the growth to rising mobile usage and increased engagement with short-form video and in-app commerce.
At the Apps Summit Southeast Asia in Hanoi, TikTok said it now serves as a major channel for app discovery and brand marketing, with two-thirds of users actively exploring new apps on the platform.
TikTok has launched AI tools such as Symphony, which automates creative production, and Smart+, which improves campaign optimisation and audience targeting.
The company said these developments support its growing presence in Southeast Asia’s digital economy, including retail, finance, gaming, and travel sectors.
