JD.com delivers over 30,000 iPhone 17 units within hours of launch

About 10,000 stores supported same-day delivery in 80% of counties.

China's JD.com moved quickly to meet demand as Apple’s iPhone 17 series went on sale, fulfilling more than 30,000 customer orders by midday, according to company data.

In one example of the rapid rollout, a Shanghai customer received an iPhone 17 Pro Max within minutes of the official launch via JD Now’s instant delivery network.

JD.com attributed the fast turnaround to advance stock allocation and a nationwide logistics push.

Inventory supplied directly by Apple was distributed to warehouses across the country, whilst nearly 10,000 authorised retail partners coordinated to enable same-day delivery in major cities and most counties.

Pre-order data signaled strong interest. Within the first minute of pre-sales on 12 September JD.com recorded iPhone 17 orders exceeding the full first-day total of the previous model. By 10 a.m. on launch day, iPhone trade-in volumes were running four times higher than the same period last year.
