What will the future of retail look like after a pandemic?

Join industry experts and listen to first-hand stories of retail resilience in Southeast Asia.

As coronavirus sweeps across the globe, consumers have found themselves cooped inside their residences with only limited time to buy and purchase the much needed essentials. This unprecedented event has resulted in higher online demand and prices. Euromonitor International reported that 2019's online sales of fresh food in China accounted for 6.3% of retail sales value and this share is expected to increase in 2020 due to the quarantine policies.

Retail Asia, the newest B2B trade magazine under the Charlton Media Group portfolio, is hosting a webinar in partnership with leading software corporation SAP to explore Southeast Asia’s retail industry.

Together with SAP experts and industry thought leaders, the 60-minute virtual event entitled SAP Industries Forum 2020: Reimagining the Future of Retail aims to shed light on the main challenges and opportunities for the retail industry today. The webinar will also touch on some of the intelligent technologies that businesses can adopt to ready themselves for the new frontier as well as strategies to drive an omnichannel customer experience for today’s retailers.

Over the second week of March, Euromonitor International has seen positive e-commerce developments in some of the Asian markets as compared to the initial stages of the outbreak, indicating that strong government action can help stabilise online product availability and prices.

For this webinar, SAP ⨉ Retail Asia invites C-suite executives, thought leaders, retail startups, and brand experts to register and share valued insight on how to transform and future-proof retail businesses, but more importantly how to remain resilient and recover from the effects of this pandemic in the short run.

Confirmed speakers include:

  • Gunjan Soni, CEO, ZALORA
  • Estelle Yang, Senior Business Development Account Manager at Euromonitor International
  • Aditya Utama, Industry Business Architect for Retail in Southeast Asia at SAP
