Shiseido launches app to provide beauty regimen support for consumers

The app also provides them with feedback on the appropriateness of their regimen application.

Shiseido developed the “Beauty AR Navigation” which will help consumers access appropriate beauty regiments through interactive communication with the digital application system.

In a statement, Shiseido said the app, which can be accessed using smartphones and tablet terminals, uses the company’s expertise and Kansei science field.

The application also leverages artificial intelligence-driven motion recognition technology that can capture detailed hand movements.

“The Beauty AR Navigation provides consumers with easy-to-understand skincare steps via video and narration, as well as with quantitative evaluation that will show them if their skincare routines are appropriate—feedback that is expected to help increase their motivation to master a proper beauty regimen over the long term,” the company said in a statement.
