JD.com breaks records for 2023 Singles Day Grand Promotion

Transaction volume reached more than $137.18m.

JD.com has attained a record-breaking Singles Day Grand Promotion, with transaction volume, order volume, and user engagement succeeding all-time highs.

Transaction volume for over 60 brands exceeded $137.18m (RMB 1 billion), and over 20,000 brands reached an increase in transaction volume three times more than the previous year. This year’s promotion itself “JD Procurement and Sales Manager Livestreaming” also saw 380 million viewership in China.

Notable records in transaction volume include Apple products surpassing $1.37b (RMB 10 billion); sales of foldable screen mobile phones growing more than 300% year-over-year (yoy); men and women down jackets increasing more than 100% yoy; sales of more than 2,000 home appliances and home product brands rising by 100% yoy; energy vehicles and accessories surging more than 300% yoy; and over 350 cross-border imports on all categories from JD Worldwide climbing over 100% yoy.

In addition, new sellers on the platform saw a fivefold increase in order volume.
