JD Super to launch over 1,000 new int’l brands

80% of Chinese consumers are interested in imported goods.

JD Super has announced plans to introduce over 1,000 new international brands over the next three years to meet the growing demand for high-quality imported products in China.

Eight in 10 Chinese consumers are interested in imported goods, prioritizing authenticity, quality, and fast delivery, according to a report from JD Worldwide’s "2024 China Cross-Border Consumption Trends”.

In response, JD has expanded its international product range. During the ongoing Singles' Day promotion, cross-border product sales have surged, with over 600 brands seeing sales growth of more than 100% compared to last year.

At the China International Import Expo (CIIE), JD Super signed a procurement agreement with Huadong Foods and Teys, an Australian beef brand under Cargill.

The deal will see JD Super purchase $50m worth of Teys beef in 2025, further strengthening its commitment to delivering high-quality products to Chinese consumers.
