DHgate reports 10% drop in counterfeit products for 2023

Brand complaints also decreased by over 50%.

DHgate saw a 10% year-on-year decline in the presence of products on the platform infringing upon key brands' intellectual property rights in 2023, as per its 2023 Intellectual Property Protection Annual Report.

Additionally, brand complaints dropped by over 50%, with select brands witnessing a reduction of more than 90%.

"DHgate is committed to fostering a secure and fair marketplace. The 2023 report highlights our ongoing efforts to safeguard intellectual property, contributing to an overall healthier business environment," said the group’s Head of Platform Ecology Health Department.

Key initiatives included establishing a blacklist of infringing merchants, streamlining registration processes, and enhancing product scrutiny. DHgate also educated merchants on intellectual property laws and brand awareness through various channels.
