Deliveroo grows on-demand grocery service with new Deliveroo Hop site in Tuen Mun
Around 65% of Tuen Mun have claimed that they will rely more on grocery delivery services.
Deliveroo has opened its second Hop site in the thriving New Territories district Tuen Mun.
The launch of the new Hop site follows the successful takeoff in Central in July 2022 and its 60% growth in orders volume and sales in H1 2023, an increase from H2 2022.
The growing success of Deliveroo also experienced a 100% growth from 2021 to 2022, signifying an increasing demand for quick and convenient grocery services.
On Tuen Mun alone, 65% claimed that they will be more dependent on those grocery services for the next 12 months. However, 71% agree that they can rely more on grocery service if deliveries are fulfilled within 15-20 minutes.

Snacks (50%), beverages (48%), instant food, and personal care products (both 37%) are the most popular products ordered among Tuen Mun consumers. With the launch of a second Hop site, Deliveroo will be able to carry out over 2,300 grocery items. And it would be beneficial for Delivero’'s grocery management team and its growing network of delivery riders.
“As customer needs evolve, it's our job to invest in services that meet those needs. In the last few years, demand for instant grocery delivery services has grown exponentially as people become accustomed to its ease and speed,” Nick Price, General Manager of Deliveroo Hong Kong, stated.
Currently, since 2022, Deliveroo Hop has contributed to over 50% of Deliveroo’s overall grocery sales in the Central District, with the most ordered products being fruits and vegetables.
