Coupang finalises Farfetch acquisition

Farfetch will also improve its brand through $500m in capital.

Coupang has completed the acquisition of assets of online luxury company Farfetch Holdings plc.

With the access on $500m in capital, it allows Farfetch to employ improvements and expand its services under its brand and boutique partners to over four million customers all over the globe.

The acquisition also positions Farfetch for steady growth through Coupang’s operational excellence and innovative logistics, applying its same-day and dawn delivery to its luxury clothing and products.

Currently, Coupang continues its strong position as one of the largest retailers in the world. The brand has also expanded its specialties in food delivery (Coupang Eats), fintech (Coupang Pay) and video streaming (Coupang Play).
