Far East Organization lauded at Retail Asia Awards 2025 for lifestyle mall
A vibrant community hub featuring naturally ventilated spaces with dining areas, play zones, and social spaces.
Far East Organization bagged the Lifestyle Mall of the Year - Singapore category win in the 2025 Retail Asia Awards for its lifestyle mall, One Holland Village (OHV), which highlights inclusivity, family-orientedness, community engagement, and a strong focus on arts & culture.
Opened in December 2023, OHV is part of a mixed-use development that includes offices, serviced residences and residential apartments. Located in the heart of Holland Village, the open-air mall features shaded, naturally ventilated spaces with dining areas, play zones, and social spaces where pets and their “pawrents” can interact.
In April 2024, OHV introduced the Paws in the Village: Safari Pawty, a four-day event filled with paw-friendly activities such as workshops, talks, photobooths and a vibrant marketplace featuring over 30 participating brands. The event reached 2.2 million people digitally through ads and influencer engagements.
To encourage family bonding, the mall also offers free ice cream and croffles on the first weekend of every month, creating a fun, community-focused experience. Bouncy castles, a favourite amongst children, are also a common fixture during seasonal festivities.
The mall is also committed to its connection with the local community, partnering with the Buona Vista Constituency Office on events that meaningfully engage the neighbourhood. In August 2024, OHV hosted the Constituency’s National Day Observance Ceremony, where Education Minister Chan Chun Seng interacted with residents and visitors.
OHV also houses a curated Art Trail featuring seven artworks by renowned local and international artists, with the centrepiece being Dale Chihuly’s Singapore Sun, alongside eight public art benches. The exhibits have been celebrated for enriching the mall experience by showcasing art and making it accessible to the community.
The mall regularly hosts live performances by buskers to further energise the community. A collaboration with the National Arts Council, this initiative provides a platform for budding musicians to showcase their talent. Exclusive guest performances by popular artists are also featured, enhancing the mall’s reputation as a busking hub. On these evenings, the open-air mall is transformed into a lively stage.
